Every parent wants their child to grow up confident and safe. While there is plenty of information about children’s brain development and milestone achievements, many questions arise when discussing how to guide young kids through sensitive topics without causing fear. For instance, how can a parent ensure their child can identify and protect themselves from potential abusers?
Bubbl is an app that guides children on a journey of self-awareness and understanding personal boundaries. Led by a friendly, customizable mascot, kids explore key topics related to bullying and body safety through interactive games and drawing activities.
I contributed actively throughout all stages of the design process. I helped develop the initial concept, designed the user flow, and conducted research to understand how children interact with digital content. I created wireframes and prototypes for the “shop” feature. Additionally, I developed graphic materials, such as social media ads and a promotional video, growing significantly as a designer through this experience, despite limited prior graphic design expertise.
Initially, our team explored the idea’s full potential. Some members interviewed possible users, while I helped craft the first version of the user flow. During this phase, I also conducted a research to understand child’s behavior and how they consume digital media. Here are the key findings:
